Tools and workshop equipment selected as complete working systems
Choose equipment from the material, task, environment and consequence of failure rather than one maximum power or capacity figure. The verified Ozbuyz range includes air compressors and pneumatic accessories, industrial tools, hand tools and accessories, power tools, pumps and tool storage and workbenches.
| Tool area | Typical products | What to confirm first |
|---|---|---|
| Compressed Air | Compressors, tanks, hoses, regulators, filters, fittings and pneumatic accessories | Free-air delivery at working pressure, tank, duty cycle, tool demand, hose bore, connector and pressure rating |
| Power Tools | Drills, saws, sanders, chainsaws, generators, nailers, jackhammers, painting and welding equipment | Australian electrical supply, battery platform, speed, accessory interface, guards, dust or fume control and operating area |
| Industrial Tools | Ladders, scaffolding, hoists, measuring tools, heat guns, traffic products and protective equipment | Work method, duty rating, working load limit, height, support, calibration, environment and workplace requirements |
| Hand Tools & Accessories | Hand tools, sockets, drill bits, blades, clamps, vices, sanding products and electrical supplies | Drive, shank, bore, diameter, material, maximum speed, impact rating, insulation claim and work holding |
| Pumps | Air, irrigation, pool, drainage and sewage pumps | Required flow at total head, liquid and solids, duty, dry-run protection, electrical supply and discharge size |
| Storage & Benches | Toolboxes, cabinets, trolleys, wall racks and workbenches | Load per drawer or shelf, total load, castors and brakes, anchoring, worktop and assembly |
Match every tool to its accessory and power system
Confirm the battery platform, charger, plug, current, chuck or shank, blade diameter, bore, speed rating, hose, fitting and pressure before combining products. A component fitting physically does not prove that its load, speed, chemistry, electrical communication or intended use is compatible. Impact tools require impact-rated accessories, and cutting tools must retain the specified guards.
Use operating performance rather than isolated maximum figures
For compressors, use free-air delivery at the pneumatic tool’s working pressure and include duty cycle and hose losses. For pumps, use the required flow at total dynamic head and confirm the liquid, solids and duty. For generators, calculate simultaneous continuous load and motor startup demand. For welding equipment, compare duty cycle at the required current and the input circuit.
Control dust, fumes, noise, height and stored energy
Silica, wood dust and welding fumes should be controlled at source through suitable wet methods, guarding, on-tool extraction or local exhaust ventilation before relying on personal protective equipment. Select respiratory, eye, hearing, hand and body protection for the exact hazard. Keep generators and outdoor fuel equipment outside enclosed areas, isolate electrical or pneumatic energy before maintenance and keep people clear of suspended loads.
Check Australian compliance and licensed work
In-scope electrical equipment should have the applicable Australian responsible supplier, registration and Regulatory Compliance Mark. A foreign approval logo or plug adapter is not an equivalent Australian supply check. Fixed wiring, generator changeover systems, three-phase or high-current outlets and many pump or workshop installations require licensed work. Workplace users also have WHS duties beyond the product purchase.
