Electronics, computer accessories and smart devices for Australian homes and work
Explore a broad active range for charging, data storage, computing, networking, property monitoring, personal audio, mobile devices and printing. The correct choice begins with the exact host device, operating system, ports, power requirement and task—not a connector shape or headline speed alone.

Check capability separately from connector shape
USB-C ports and cables can support different charging, data and video capabilities. A charger, device and cable all need the required protocol and power rating. Monitors and docks also depend on host display support and available bandwidth. Record the exact models and read the specifications for each function rather than assuming that matching plugs prove compatibility.
Treat security support as a product specification
For routers, cameras, doorbells, locks and other connected devices, compare the ability to change credentials, automatic updates, published end-of-support date, account security, data collection and local operation. Relevant consumer smart devices manufactured after 4 March 2026 should have a Statement of Compliance under Australia’s new smart-device security rules.
Plan data protection and ongoing ownership
A single external drive is not automatically a resilient backup. Keep separate recoverable copies, test restoration and maintain an offline or offsite option where the information matters. Also compare cloud subscriptions, batteries, replacement chargers, printer consumables, memory cards, firmware support and e-waste disposal before choosing only from the purchase price.
