Commercial equipment, business supplies and packaging for Australian workplaces
Explore products for cleaning, packing, retail display, queue management, office administration, beverage equipment, laboratory organisation and professional body-art workflows. The Ozbuyz Commercial department currently covers 834 active products, including 560 items under commercial equipment and 274 packaging products. Selection should begin with the real workload, workplace environment and regulatory purpose—not the word “commercial” in a product title.

Define the business workload before comparing products
Record units, customers, square metres or cycles per hour; continuous run time; peak load; operator skill; cleaning turnaround; and the cost of downtime. Look for a stated duty cycle, rated throughput, service interval, operating temperature, maximum load and commercial-use warranty. A domestic product can sometimes complete an occasional task but may not tolerate repeated daily work or have suitable service support.
Manage workplace equipment and chemical risks
Machinery, appliances and tools can be workplace plant. Assess guarding, moving parts, hot surfaces, noise, dust, fumes, electricity, stability, manual handling, emergency isolation and maintenance access. For hazardous cleaning or process chemicals, obtain the current safety data sheet, retain correct labels, confirm machine and surface compatibility, and meet workplace storage and training duties.
Choose packaging from the product and carrier journey
Use internal box dimensions for product fit and sealed external dimensions for freight. Account for fragility, cushioning, compression, moisture, temperature, tampering and returns. Australia Post and other carriers may charge by the greater of physical or cubic weight and apply service-specific size, weight and dangerous-goods rules. Food businesses must also verify that packaging is suitable for the exact food, temperature and storage conditions.
Separate commercial appearance from regulated purpose
A stainless-steel table is not automatically approved for food preparation, a product described as medical is not automatically included in the ARTG, and a queue stanchion is not a road-traffic barrier. Equipment used to manufacture alcohol, penetrate skin, contact food, manage public traffic or perform a therapeutic purpose can trigger specific licensing, registration, hygiene, documentation or technical requirements.
