Important Notes
This product does not contain a lithium battery. To use the ant moat, fill the separate hanging cup with water. Clean the feeder regularly (every 2-3 days in hot weather, weekly in cooler weather) with a solution of one part white vinegar to four parts water, or a specialized feeder cleaner, to prevent mold and bacteria growth which can be harmful to hummingbirds. Rinse thoroughly before refilling with fresh nectar. Homemade nectar recipe: 1 part plain white granulated sugar to 4 parts boiled water. Do not use red dye or honey. Place the feeder in a shaded area to keep nectar fresh longer.
